6-112 KIM CHOPPER

Designed in cooperation with Terry Kim, MD, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Duke University Eye Center. This instrument offers the convenience of two choppers on one handle. A traditional style horizontal chopper (Nagahara) is opposite a unique, triangular shaped tip for performing a modified horizontal quick chop. The quick chop tip allows chopping of the nucleus in the horizontal plane from a central location, without traversing peripherally under the anterior capsule. The versatile chopper provides for multiple approaches for nucleus separation. Tips on both ends have rounded edges to prevent posterior capsule damage. The instrument is crafted of titanium and is guaranteed for life against defects in material or workmanship.

8-100 LOCKING LENS INJECTOR

Compatible with Alcon’s Monarch C and B cartridges. The injector features a spring-loaded plunger, allowing for a controlled, smooth, single-handed insertion. A J-slot style lock allows the technician to load the lens and advance the plunger to a locked position, assuring the haptics will remain in the correct orientation while being passed to the surgeon. The surgeon can then advance the plunger the remaining short distance, delivering the lens. The injector disassembles into two pieces for easy cleaning. Crafted from titanium to assure rust-free, long useable life.
